On retiring, Myles saw the need for his specialized knowledge and experience in the process equipment sales and service industry. He saw many companies merging and consolidating and downsizing with little regard for the long term consequences. Good experienced sales and sales management people were being downsized to aid earnings for "this quarter" and to save money only because they were in the wrong geography as territories and regions were expanded while cutting personnel. He saw that he might help some of these people while helping companies continue to cut costs. His experience in many geographic markets and knowledge of market channels and the service & repair sector combined to give him knowledge that can help his clients.
