As the century came to a close, business as we knew it changed dramatically. There was great emphasis on cutting costs and shifting responsibilities. Companies are consolidating and downsizing as never before. Vast stores of knowledge are being disposed of with little apparent regard for long term consequences. Myles recognized this and realized that there was a need for someone with his unique store of knowledge and network of friends and acquaintances. He thus commercialized this enterprise. He is available to share knowledge on markets, distribution, product lines and mix, commission schedules, margins, and profitability. A large portion of his efforts to date has been in the personnel area. Many very good people are being downsized due to mergers. Their talents can be priceless assets to other companies. Myles has the assets to bring the parties together for a mutually profitable association.
The dynamics of the personnel area are such that things change on an hourly basis. Myles usually comes up with several candidates or clients for each situation that arises. We have placed sales and sales management professionals in 17 states and two Canadian provinces. Our client list is confidential, of course, but an overview of our client list follows. They consist of pump, valve, and seal manufacturers; pump, turbine and compressor service & repair organizations, valve and actuator repair organizations, bearing isolator manufacturers, distributors and manufacturer's representatives of pumps, valves, actuators and instrumentation. More times than any, our search is undertaken on the part of the candidate and our knowledge of the market leads us to possible opportunities for them. We give personal attention to every search. We do have assets in other parts of the country that we can call upon for help
